Step-by-Step Execution Guide

1

Stand holding barbell at thighs, feet hip-width, knees slightly unlocked.

2

Push hips directly backwards as if touching a wall behind you.

3

Lower bar down shins keeping it grazing legs until hamstrings are at full stretch.

4

Drive hips forward to return to standing, squeezing glutes at top.

Common Mistakes & Form Fixes

Squatting the weight rather than hinging hips.

Allowing barbell to drift forward away from shins.

Biomechanical Safety & Injury Warning

Maintain neutral spine throughout; do not round back to reach the floor.
